From Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August 2026, the evocative Rocca di Castruccio in Serravalle Pistoiese will once again host Serravalle Rock, the festival dedicated to emerging bands which, now in its 10th edition, has become a cult event of the Tuscan summer music scene.
The undisputed stars of the new edition will be Iceland’s Virgin Orchestra, the festival’s exclusive act, who will perform in Italy for the very first time.
The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Serravalle Pistoiese – Department of Culture, in collaboration with Vrec, which will produce the traditional “SRX” compilation on CD, distributed free of charge at the festival or available to order at www.vrec.it.
Program
The festival will open on Friday, July 31, with Virgin Orchestra, The Loyal Cheaters, and Small Jackets. The Italian/German turbo rock ‘n’ roll quartet The Loyal Cheaters will set the Rocca di Castruccio on fire with songs from Long Run… All Dead! and And All Hell Broke Loose.
The opening act on Saturday, August 1, will be To The Max!. Hailing from Verona, the band has recently released its second studio album, Two The Max!, on Go Down Records. They will be followed by the psychedelic performance of Ananda Mida, one of the most powerful stoner and psych-rock bands on the international scene, not just in Italy.
The 10th edition of Serravalle Rock will close on Sunday, August 2, with the highly anticipated performance by The Elephant Man, the supergroup led by Max Zanotti (Casablanca, Deasonika) and featuring Iva Lodini (Movida), Halle, and Tummy. Opening the evening will be Nuovo Disordine Mondiale, whose outstanding album Daimon was recently produced by Giulio Ragno Favero of Teatro degli Orrori.
