Pistoia, Museo del Novecento e del Contemporaneo di Palazzo Fabroni

Pistoia dedicates a new season to the artist Marino Marini with a temporary exhibition that combines cultural programming and heritage preservation.

Pistoia is set to open a new season dedicated to Marino Marini, the renowned sculptor and painter from Pistoia, with a program that combines cultural events and the preservation of local heritage.

From Wednesday, December 24, 2025, to Monday, April 6, 2026, the second-floor spaces of the Palazzo Fabroni Museum of 20th-century and contemporary art will host a valuable selection of Marini’s paintings in the exhibition Marino Marini. The painting, showcasing works from the city’s heritage that have not been on public display for some time. Inauguration: Tuesday, December 23, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

The initiative is part of the Pistoia Città di Marino protocol, a strategic agreement shared with the Marino Marini Foundation, the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Tuscany (Ministry of Culture), and the Fondazione Caript. This marks the beginning of a project aimed at revitalizing and promoting the Documentation Center and the Marino Marini Foundation of Pistoia, along with the entire monumental complex of the former convent and the former Church of Tau.

Organized by the Comune di Pistoia and the Marino Marini Foundation, in collaboration with Musei Civici di Pistoia and with the support of the Fondazione Caript.
